Elena DelleDonne the # 1 ranked player in the class of 2008 helped lead her team to a opening night win over Archbishop Ryan, PA, 51 to 28. She broke the states scoring record that was set last year by Khadijah Rushdan of St. Elizabeth, the record was 2,414 points. Elena DelleDonne scored 33 points in the win and passed the record by one point.

2K Sports All-American Shootout Results

In the 2K Sports All-American Shootout American Christian, (PA) earned a easy win over IMG Academy, (FL) 114 to 88. The opening game saw Lincoln, (NY) defeat  St. Xavier, (KY) in a 56 to 36 blowout. Standout sophomore Lance Stephenson of Lincoln, (NY) who I have ranked # 2 in the class of 2009 missed the game with a sprained ankle. In the nightcap Tyreke Evans and Lamont Jones put on a show for the fans with some outstanding indiviual performances. Tyreke Evans led all scorers with 46 points on 18 for 27 from the field, he also had 6 steals, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 blocks. Lamont Jones who is committed to U of Louisville had a monster game with 33 points on 12 for 23 from the field. The only bright spot for IMG Academy was U of Lousiville signee Jared Swopshire who put up 33 points on 10 for 21 from the field and had 12 rebounds. American Christian improves to 9-0 and IMG Academy 6-3 for the season.
