2008 Jordan Brand Classic Boost Mobile Celebrity Jamfest

WHAT: 2008 BOOST MOBILE JORDAN BRAND CLASSIC CELEBRITY JAMFEST

The 2008 Jordan Brand All-American Team will participate in the second annual slam dunk contest, skills competition and three-point shootout at Long Island University-Brooklyn. This two-hour program will showcase the talents on the game’s future stars and includes celebrity stars from the world of music and entertainment.                               

The 2008 Jordan Brand All-American Team includes Al-Farouq Aminu (Norcross, GA/Wake Forest), William Buford (Toledo, OH/Ohio State), Ed Davis (Richmond, VA/UNC), Demar DeRozan (Compton, CA/Southern Cal), Michael Dunigan (Chicago, IL/Oregon), Devin Ebanks (Oakdale, CT/Indiana), Tyreke Evans (Aston, PA/Undecided), Drew Gordon (San Jose, CA/UCLA), JaMychal Green (Montgomery, AL/Alabama), Jrue Holiday (N. Hollywood, CA/UCLA), Scotty Hopson (Hopkinsville, KY/Undecided), Brandon Jennings (Mouth of Wilson, VA/Arizona), Malcolm Lee (Riverside, CA/UCLA), Greg Monroe (Harvey, LA/Georgetown), B.J. 2008 Jordan Brand All-American Game Rosters

The 2008 Jordan Brand All-American game will take place on Saturday evening at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The game will air live on ESPN 2 at 9 P.M. This is always one of the better all-star games each I mean you can’t beat going to watch the top incoming freshmen class play in MSG in New York City. It also doesn’t hurt that the event is put on by Michael Jordan’s shoe & clothing company.

Some of the now NBA superstars who have played in this game include LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Dwight Howard, Amare Stoudemire, Chris Paul, Rudy Gay, Kevin Durant and many other talented NBA and NCAA players have taken part in this event.

This years teams are loaded with many talented players who know how to bring some flash to the game. This should be a very fun and interesting game to watch. Some of these players include Brandon Jennings, Tyreke Evans, DeMar DeRozan, Kemba Walker and Jrue Holiday with many other outstanding players joining them.

Tyreke Evans Heading To Memphis

Tyreke Evans the top unsigned player in the class of 2008 made his decision today on national t.v. and he is headed to Memphis. In his senior season at American Christian (PA) he averaged 32.1 points, 8.8 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game. He picked Memphis over Villanova, Texas and Connecticut.

Tyreke Evans Announcement Today 3 P.M. @ American Christian

Tyreke Evans has narrowed his choices down to Memphis, Villanova and Texas. He will have a press conference today at 3 p.m. his decision will be aired on ESPNU & ESPN News. There have been reports out of Philadelphia that Tyreke is 90% sure of going to Memphis. Read the rest of this entry »
