Elena DelleDonne finished up her high school career on Saturday afternoon in Tampa, FL in the Nike WBCA All-American game. This event starts tomorrow morning at the Wilmington PAL Center and will conclude on Sunday afternoon. I will be heading up to Wilmington, DE tomorrow morning to cover this event. I will be filming some of the event and also evaluating the talent that is presently in Delaware and the surrounding area. This camp should very competitive and educational for each camper who attends. I will be posting reports from the camp here on my blog after I return home on Sunday night.
Elena DelleDonne played in the McDonald’s All-American game tonight finishing with a solid game of 10 points, 11 rebounds and 3 blocks. She will be taking her game to Uconn next season in the Big East. She started the game a little slow but finished strong.

OAK BROOK, Ill. (March 19, 200 - Greg Monroe, the 6-10, 220 lb. prep superstar from Helen Cox High School in Gretna, La., was named the twelfth-annual Morgan Wootten Award winner today. Previous winners include Greg Oden (2006), Dwight Howard (2004), LeBron James (2003), Jason Williams (1999) and the Award’s first recipient Shane Battier (1997).
Joining Monroe in the honor is McDonald’s All American® Female Player of the Year, Elena Delle Donne, from Ursuline Academy in Greenville, Del. Delle Donne, who has led Ursuline to four straight Delaware State Championship Titles is the seventh female to be added to the impressive list that includes Tina Charles (2006, Connecticut), Abby Waner (2005, Duke), Candace Parker (2004, Tennessee), Ivory Latta (2003, UNC) and Nicole Wolff (2002, Connecticut). It was announced yesterday that the 2008 Bay Ball Classic National Tournament will have a new home at Delaware State University. The Bay Ball Classic had been taking place at Cape Henlopen H.S. in Lewes, DE for the past 3 years since it began. This exposure camp will take place on April 5th - 6th at the Wilmington PAL Center. The camp is for boys grades 5th,6th,7th,8th and 9th that will focus on individual skills and fundamentals. The 2008 Nike Hoops Summit game will take place in Portland, OR at the Rose Center on April 12, 2008. The game will be played at 1 p.m. (PT) on national television broadcasted by FOX Sports Net. This is the 11th annual Nike Hoops Summit each year the USA has put together some of the top players in the country to compete against an international squad of 19 - under all stars.
