On Tuesday night Dominique Ferguson verbally committed to University of Kentucky. Dominique is one of the elite prospects from the class of 2010 he plays for powerhouse North Lawarence in Indiana. He is a 6′9 combo forward with a ton of upside to his game. This past season he avgeraged 12 points and 8 rebounds for his high school team.
He picked Kentucky over Indiana, Florida, Ohio State, Purdue, Michigan State, Memphis, Syracuse, Wake Forest and Louisville. This is a big time pick up for Kentucky, Ferguson has a tremendous amount of skills already for a player his age.
Coach Gillespie has really been able to turn the heat up on the recruiting scene since arriving at Kentucky. He just a bigtime week landing a handful of players in the past two weeks. The future looks bright for the wildcats to return back into a national power once again.

Tyreke Evans the top unsigned player in the class of 2008 made his decision today on national t.v. and he is headed to Memphis. In his senior season at American Christian (PA) he averaged 32.1 points, 8.8 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game. He picked Memphis over Villanova, Texas and Connecticut.

Tyreke Evans has narrowed his choices down to Memphis, Villanova and Texas. He will have a press conference today at 3 p.m. his decision will be aired on ESPNU & ESPN News. There have been reports out of Philadelphia that Tyreke is 90% sure of going to Memphis. Read the rest of this entry »

Brad Tinsley who is one of the hottest prospects in America right now has announced the finalist for his college selection. The schools that made his final list are a mixture of some that recruited him before he had signed with Pepperdine along with a few new schools. The list includes Arizona State, Butler, North Carolina, Oregon, USC, Vanderbilt and Wake Forest. Each of these schools have offered scholarships except North Carolina.

Devin Ebanks has announced the four schools he plans to visit and then decide where he will attend. The schools still in the running are Memphis, Rutgers, Texas and WVU. He also said that he is going to watch and see what happens with Indiana in the future. Indiana still has a slim chance to maybe sign him depending on what goes on in the near future with the program but unlikely. He plans to schedule the visits next month sometime for each school.
“I’m going to look for a school that had some of the same things I liked in Indiana. I want to go somewhere I can develop, play right away and have a great relationship with my coach.”

On Monday, Greg Echenique ended his college search choosing to stay in New Jersey and attend Rutgers University. He is rising prospect in the class of 2009 who helped St. Benedict’s (NJ) to a 24-1 record this season well averaging 11.2 points, 9.2 rebounds and 3.3 blocks per game. Read the rest of this entry »

Tyreke Evans the top unsigned player in the class of 2008 is watching the NCAA tournament very closely. He is planning to announce his college decision on April 16, 2008 on ESPN. Tyreke is picking from Texas, Memphis, Connecticut and Villanova which our all playing the the tournament.
He is a program changing player when he arrives on campus and will make a big-time impact in college next year. He will be focused on many different things well watching each team compete in the tournament. He wants to see how they react to the pressure of playing in March. Another factor will be the players staying or leaving for the NBA Draft this year.
