On Monday, Greg Echenique ended his college search choosing to stay in New Jersey and attend Rutgers University. Tyreke Evans the top unsigned player in the class of 2008 is watching the NCAA tournament very closely. He is planning to announce his college decision on April 16, 2008 on ESPN. Tyreke is picking from Texas, Memphis, Connecticut and Villanova which our all playing the the tournament.
He is a program changing player when he arrives on campus and will make a big-time impact in college next year. He will be focused on many different things well watching each team compete in the tournament. He wants to see how they react to the pressure of playing in March. Another factor will be the players staying or leaving for the NBA Draft this year.

It has been reported on Adam Zagoria blog that Devin Ebanks will re-open his recruitment after the buyout of Kelvin Sampson at Indiana University. Devin Ebanks is a 6′9 athletic wing who is a big time scorer that can fill it up on an array of different moves.
He is looking to have a list of schools cut down to 2-4 by next week. He is considering Rutgers, Texas and Memphis right now. So you can look for a update in the near future about his final list and scheduled visits.

Tyreke Evans visit to Memphis
I had a chance to catch up with Tyreke the other night after his game about how the recruiting process is going and how his visit to Memphis was. Tyreke Evans is the top unsigned player in the class of 2008 and is down to Memphis, Texas, Villanova, Uconn and Seton Hall. UAB gets a huge pick up from class of 2009
On Friday Coach Mike Davis landed his first major prospect since arriving at UAB in DeMarcus Cousins from the class of 2009. He is a 6′9 power forward who has the ability to take over a game with his extreme talent and NBA potential. Texas lands a big commitment from 2010 Forward
On Tuesday afternoon Coach Rick Barnes received a huge verbal commitment from elite prospect Tristan Thompson from the class of 2010. He had the option to attend any school that he wanted to in the country with his unlimited upside. Mason Plumlee (Christ School, NC) Class of 2009
On Wednesday, Coach K landed a promising prospect from the class of 2009 in Mason Plumlee. He is a 6′11 power forward who has continued to show improvement this season and caught the eye of a handful of Division 1 coaches with his play. He picked Duke over offers from Indiana, Wake Forest, Georgetown, Stanford, Northwestern, Miami and Louisville.

Brad Tinsley has seen his recruitment take off since being released from his letter of intent with Pepperdine University. He has helped lead his Oregon City High team to a undefeated regular season heading into the state playoffs.
He just picked up a offer from Arizona on Monday. Brad led his team to a 20 point victory over Lake Oswego for the Three Rivers League Title on Tuesday night. He had 23 points and 11 assists in the 63 to 43 victory. Read the rest of this entry »
