In day two at Bishop Verot H.S. there were some big time performances along with a huge upset. Kenny Boynton (American Heritage, FL) poured in 43 points against Dunbar, FL. In last year’s tournament Boynton set a single game scoring record versus Dunbar going off for 61 points. Lance Stephenson (Lincoln, NY) led his team to a 70-55 victory behind a game high 37 points. This has been a long day for the Railsplitters from NYC who have been stuck traveling all day with weather delays and arrived at the gym around 9:30 p.m. Super sophomore Austin Rivers (Winter Park, FL) led his team to a huge upset of preseason #1 Duncanville, TX with a 69-64 win. I am proud to announce that Grassrootsballin will be turning the page to a new chapter in it’s brief history in the near future with the launching of www.premohoopsrecruiting.com.
This has been a long process in getting everything together to be able to launch my new pay-site. The membership cost will be $5.00 per month. The membership will include access to player interviews, scouting videos, event videos, recruiting news, player signings, player evolutions and in-depth event coverage. We are also going to have a 7 day free trail period so people get a chance to see what they will be getting with a membership.
There will also be a ton of free content on the new website including player rankings, photo galleries, basic event coverage and some recruiting news.
I would just like to thank everyone who has supported my site since the beginning and I hope you all will come checkout what the new site has to offer.
Thanks,
C.J. Watson

Eric Murphy (St. Mark’s, MA) picks Florida
On Wednesday night Eric Murphy decided where he will continue his basketball career next year. Eric picked the Florida over Duke, Boston College, Uconn, Marquette, Ohio State and Virginia.
Eric is a 6’9 combo forward that has a high basketball I.Q. and has the ability to score from anywhere on the floor. He finishes strong at the basket with an array of post moves. He also has good court vision and is solid on the boards.
This is just the latest commitment from an elite player in the class of 2009. Florida got a really nice pick up here.
