Game 2 – Scott County (KY) vs. Dunbar (FL) – 43 to 41

This game looked like it was going to be a runaway win for the team from KY; they came out fast and hit everything the shot.

They finished the 1st quarter with a 13 to 2 lead and continued their dominance in the 2nd quarter with the hot shooting and pressure defense to go into the half with a 24 to 7 lead.

Dunbar which had a team full of athletes just didn’t seem to be able to turn all that athleticism to on court success in the 1st half.

Tyler Portwood and Cameron Hundley lead Scott County in the half with 12 points and 6 points respectively.

The 2nd half was a completely different game with Scott County coming out and not shooting as well in the 1st half.

Dunbar also started to insert some pressure defense that helped lead to a big 3rd quarter in which they outscored Scott County 21 to 10.

In the 4th quarter the game went back and forth with each team trying to make a lead to stick.

The leaders for Scott County were Tyler Portwood and Cameron Hundley who each finished with 15 points and 13 points respectively.

The standouts for Dunbar were sophomores Jeffery Evans and David Paulk who each finished with 9 points and 10 rebounds and 9 points and 7 rebounds respectively.

This was a very exciting game in the 2nd half.
