Elena DelleDonne finished up her high school career on Saturday afternoon in Tampa, FL in the Nike WBCA All-American game. The game took place at USF the day before the women’s final four which is also being held in Tampa, FL. She helped lead her team to a 114 to 79 win.

Elena got a chance to team-up with a future UConn Huskie in Tiffany Hayes from Florida in last week’s McDonald’s All-American Game the were on opposite teams. Each of them had great games at the WBCA All-American Game Hayes led all scorers for the red team with 18 points and 5 rebounds, DelleDonne added 17 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals and earned MVP for the Red team.

Elena DelleDonne will arrive at UConn on June 2, 2008 for summer school to get a head start on getting ready for her college career. This will be the day after she graduates from high school at Ursuline Academy in Wilmington, DE. The sky is the limit for this very talented young lady on and off the court. She has never let all the hype that has surrounded her skills on the court go to her head. She is a very humble young lady who will add a lot to a already talented squad next season in Storrs, CT.
