Tyreke Evans has narrowed his choices down to Memphis, Villanova and Texas. He will have a press conference today at 3 p.m. his decision will be aired on ESPNU & ESPN News. There have been reports out of Philadelphia that Tyreke is 90% sure of going to Memphis.

Now that Derrick Rose has announced he is turning pro that opens up the chance for Tyreke to step right in and run the system at Memphis. The one thing about Memphis is they run the same type of system Tyreke ran in high school. The talent level at Memphis will not be the same as this season with them losing Derrick Rose, most likely Chris Douglus-Roberts and Joey Dorsey they will be a lot younger of a team.

Texas still has a outside chance to land him with there ability to give exposure to young talent players look what they did for Kevin Durrant. They also have one of the best point guards in the country in D.J. Augustine who hasn’t entered the NBA draft yet. He is a pass first guard with the ability to score when needed and also a player who makes players around him better. Texas has a lot of talent returning next year so with the chance to land Tyreke they could definitley make a run for National Title next season.

There were reports about a week ago that Tyreke was leaning toward Villanova but that all seems to have changed with reports saying he wants to get out of Philadelphia. If he were to attend Villanova you would have the hometown superstar story which could be a positive thing who could add tons of pressure on him.

Well everyone will know today at 3 p.m. where one of the most sought after recruits in the country will be taking his game next year. Which ever schools lands Tyreke is getting a big time scoring guard who uses his size and strength to get in the lane at will.
